The styling of the Triumph Thruxton 400 is clearly café racer inspired. The front fairing, bubble-style visor around the LED headlamp and clip-on handlebars give the bike a retro sporty look. The design is directly inspired by bigger models like the Speed Triple 1200 RR.
The tail section too has been designed differently, where there is a colour-matched cowl that can be optionally removed. The bar-end mirrors and low-set riding position give the bike a typical cafe racer vibe.
During leaked images, I have seen bold finishes like Red-Silver and Yellow-Silver. There may be more options at the time of launch.

The Triumph Thruston 400 is based on the same platform as the Speed 400 in terms of engine, It is powered by:

This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox that also gets a slipper and assist clutch. The gearing can be tweaked a bit to make the performance more suitable for the cafe racer style.
